The demand for heating products in Europe is soaring, and the export of related household appliances in China is booming.
The continuing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has aggravated the European energy crisis, which is a little difficult for European people this winter. With the recent cooling, the demand for heating products in Europe has increased sharply, which also makes China's heating home appliance stations rise.
Following the air source heat pump, the electric blanket and heater are getting the attention of the capital market. According to China News Service, the export of heating equipment such as electric heaters and blankets in China will grow explosively in 2025.
Recently, China CCTV Finance reported that Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, one of the production bases of heaters in China, is experiencing a "replenishment tide" of heaters, and the export volume of heaters in European countries has increased significantly. According to customs statistics, from January to August 2024, Cixi's heater exports reached 3.35 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.3%, including 1.53 billion yuan exported to the European Union, a year-on-year increase of 55.2%.
Statistics from the China Household Appliance Association show that, against the background of a decline in the export of most household appliances to Europe in 2024, the export of air conditioners, electric water heaters, electric heaters, electric blankets, hair dryers and other categories in the first seven months of 2024 has increased against the trend. Among them, the electric blanket, which was not an eye-catching sub category in the past, was "superior" to the industry with a growth rate of 97%. According to the data of the General Administration of Customs, in Apr. 2024, the monthly number of electric blankets imported from China by 27 EU countries will be 189000, which will increase to 521000 in Jun. and 1.29 million in Jul., an increase of nearly 150% month on month.
